Daughter is a London-based trio consisting of Elena Tonra (vocals, guitar), Igor Haefeli (guitar) and Remi Aguilella (percussion).

Co-produced by Rodaidh McDonald (The XX, Adele) and mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros, M83). They play quite mesmerising ambient acoutic folk emphasised by Elena’s beautiful and soft vocals.

Elena’s tales of doubt, insecurity, fear, anger and loneliness are often delivered in a smoke-tinged whisper over Igor’s stark musical landscape and Remi’s minimal drumming. The songwriting displays a maturity that belies their youth. Darkness may prevail, but the future looks extremely bright for this young band.
