Waxahatchee American Weekend

Waxahatchee’s American Weekend captures the intimacy and emotional directness of Katie Crutchfield’s songwriting, presented here as a red vinyl LP reissue.

Spare acoustic arrangements, raw vocals and a deliberately unpolished sound give the album the closeness of a private performance. Across songs such as “Grass Stain”, “Be Good” and “Bathtub”, Crutchfield turns personal reflections into vivid, affecting moments, allowing the melodies and lyrics to carry their own weight.

From the opening “Catfish” to the closing “Noccalula”, American Weekend rewards attentive listening with its vulnerability and quiet intensity. A compelling collection for listeners drawn to intimate folk and lo-fi indie songwriting.
