At Least I’m Free is the bold and cathartic second album from Brisbane alt-rock outfit WAAX, capturing the band at their most emotionally charged and creatively assured. Frontwoman Maz DeVita delivers a powerhouse performance throughout, balancing vulnerability and venom as she explores themes of heartbreak, survival, reclaiming identity and the complicated process of healing. The album’s explosive energy is matched by a newfound sense of melodic sophistication, blending soaring hooks, gritty guitars, dynamic rhythms and raw lyrical honesty.
Written during a period of personal upheaval and reinvention, At Least I’m Free stands as a declaration of strength — a record that embraces chaos while defiantly carving a path forward. Tracks move between anthemic alt-rock, glossy pop-leaning moments and intense emotional confession, all driven by WAAX’s signature urgency and spirit.
This Indies Exclusive Pink Marble Vinyl LP gives the album a striking visual presence, making it a must-have for collectors and fans. A powerful statement from one of Australia’s most vital modern rock bands, At Least I’m Free is equal parts ferocious, heartfelt and liberating.
