Celebrate ten years of Big Crown Records with BCR10 – Ten Years Of Big Crown Records, a double vinyl collection bringing together catalogue favourites and highlights from the label’s newer releases.
Founded in 2016 by Leon Michels and Danny Akalepse, Big Crown began with a simple philosophy: release music they believe in, regardless of genre. This anniversary compilation reflects that spirit through an international lineup spanning soulful vocals, cinematic instrumentals, psychedelic grooves and distinctive collaborations.
Featuring Lady Wray, El Michels Affair, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, Brainstory, Surprise Chef and more, the collection offers both a rewarding introduction and a celebration for longtime listeners. Liner notes by journalist and DJ Jeff Mao explore the story behind the label and its first decade of music.
