Trentemøller Trentemøller

Trentemøller returns with a self-titled album that pushes the extremes of his distinctive sound further than ever. Across ten tracks, towering shoegaze guitars, industrial textures and atmospheric electronics collide with dreamlike vocals and widescreen melodies. As Trentemøller explains, “The noisy got noisier, the dreamy got dreamier.”

Opening track “Swerve” erupts into a searing wall of sound, while lead single “Terrified” features former Mew frontman Jonas Bjerre confronting the full spectrum of fear through stream-of-consciousness lyrics and uplifting vocals. Elsewhere, the album moves between bruising guitar noise and hazier nocturnal passages without losing its melodic focus.

Written, performed, produced and mixed by Trentemøller, the album continues the singular musical path that has earned the Danish artist an international following across electronica, indie rock, post-punk and shoegaze. This edition is pressed on red vinyl and presented with a printed inner sleeve.
