The Wombats Glitterbug

Celebrating a decade since its original release, Glitterbug returns for Record Store Day 2025 in a striking 10th Anniversary Zoetrope Picture Disc edition. First released in April 2015, the band’s third studio album saw The Wombats embrace a brighter, more electronic-leaning indie pop sound while retaining their sharp lyricism and infectious hooks.

Produced by Mark Crew alongside the band, Glitterbug features fan favourites including “Your Body Is a Weapon,” “Greek Tragedy,” “Give Me a Try,” “Be Your Shadow” and “Emoticons,” plus the bonus track “Greek Tragedy (Oliver Nelson TikTok Remix).” The album blends shimmering synth textures with driving guitars and Matthew Murphy’s unmistakable vocals, capturing the restless, anxious energy that defines the band’s appeal.
