Released in 2020, The Slow Rush is the fourth studio album from Tame Impala, the psychedelic music project led by Australian musician and producer Kevin Parker.
Time lies at the heart of the album, with Parker reflecting on memory, nostalgia, ageing, uncertainty and the relentless movement of life. Musically, it continues Tame Impala’s evolution from hazy psychedelic rock towards richly layered electronic pop, combining hypnotic rhythms, deep funk, sweeping synthesisers and meticulously detailed production.
From the choppy synths and dancefloor pulse of “Breathe Deeper” to the emotional weight of “Posthumous Forgiveness,” the nostalgic unease of “Lost in Yesterday” and the expansive finale “One More Hour,” the album balances personal introspection with some of Parker’s most ambitious and immersive arrangements.
This edition is pressed across two 180g vinyl records.
