The Human League Being Boiled

A landmark recording in the development of British synth-pop and electronic music, “Being Boiled” introduced The Human League’s stark, futuristic sound to the world. Driven by primitive synthesisers, mechanical rhythms and Phil Oakey’s commanding vocal, the track remains one of the most influential electronic singles of its era.

Originally released by the independent Fast Product label in 1978, the single later reached a wider audience when reissued by Virgin Records. Its B-side, “Circus Of Death,” further showcases the group’s early experimental sound and dystopian atmosphere.

Previously reissued for Record Store Day, this sought-after 12-inch returns through Cherry Red Records as a limited edition pressing on red vinyl with a distinctive white swirl.
