Celebrate the beginnings of The Cult with Dreamtime, presented here as a 40th Anniversary vinyl LP reissue. The band’s debut album captures Ian Astbury’s commanding vocals and Billy Duffy’s distinctive guitar work in a blend of atmospheric post-punk, gothic rock and emerging hard-rock swagger.
From the driving rhythms of “Horse Nation” and “Spiritwalker” to the haunting textures of “A Flower In The Desert” and “Rider In The Snow”, Dreamtime balances raw energy with a rich sense of atmosphere. Its ringing guitars, insistent basslines and dramatic vocals reveal the foundations of the sound The Cult would continue to develop.
An essential chapter in the band’s catalogue, this anniversary edition offers a chance to discover—or revisit—their striking debut on vinyl.
