The Buoys return with Concrete Cowboy, the Sydney rock band’s sophomore album. Built around the feeling of having “too many tabs open,” the record explores the pressure of keeping pace with a world that never slows down—and what can be discovered when you finally allow yourself to let go.
Featuring the singles “Bitch,” “Kill You Back” and “Welcome To My Brain,” the album combines sharp songwriting, emotional honesty and the punchy, relentless energy that has made The Buoys’ live performances essential viewing.
Produced by Chris Collins, Concrete Cowboy expands the band’s signature rock sound with influences ranging from Nile Rodgers and The 1975 to HAIM and The Beths. Its introspective storytelling also draws inspiration from 1980s cult films, Roman poetry, personal dreams and the chaos of contemporary life.
The Quiet Garden Variant is pressed on recycled Green Regrind vinyl.
