Sleep’s Hempispheres explores new territory with a lineup pairing founding member and songwriter Al Cisneros with Dale Crover (Melvins, Redd Kross) on drums and Bubba Dupree (Void) on guitar. This Indie Exclusive edition is pressed on opaque purple vinyl.
Across five expansive tracks, the album places nuance, space and subtlety alongside the weight and hypnotic interplay associated with Sleep. Crover and Dupree bring their distinctive approaches to a record that embraces exploration and gives its ideas room to develop.
From “Have Spacesuit Will Travel” to the extended “Arrival Of The Industry Ships”, Hempispheres invites an immersive listen, revealing a different dimension of the band’s sound while retaining its heavy, unhurried pull.
