Description
Originally released in 2000, Lovers Rock marked Sade’s return following an eight-year hiatus. The album introduced a more stripped-back and intimate sound, blending the group’s sophisticated soul with acoustic textures and subtle influences from reggae, folk and contemporary R&B.
Featuring “By Your Side,” “King Of Sorrow” and the title track, Lovers Rock became a multi-million-selling international success and earned the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. Its understated production and Sade Adu’s quietly expressive vocals make it one of the group’s warmest and most personal recordings.
Released for National Album Day 2026, this special edition is pressed on 140g Clear vinyl.
