Originally released in 2002, Songs For The Deaf is the landmark third album from Queens Of The Stone Age and a defining work of 21st-century rock.
Framed as a drive through the California desert with radio stations fading in and out, the album pays tribute to the band’s Palm Desert roots while blending heavy metal, garage rock and psychedelia with muscular grooves and a dark sense of humour.
Featuring Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri alongside powerhouse drumming from Dave Grohl, the record also includes contributions from Mark Lanegan and Dean Ween. Its relentless track selection includes “No One Knows,” “Go With The Flow,” “First It Giveth” and “Song For The Dead.”
Aggressive, inventive and unmistakably cool, Songs For The Deaf remains one of Queens Of The Stone Age’s essential releases. This reissue is presented across two vinyl LPs in a gatefold sleeve.
