µ-Ziq (Mu-Ziq) Tango N'Vectif

Originally released by Rephlex Records in 1993, Tango N’ Vectif is the landmark debut album from µ-Ziq, the electronic project founded by Mike Paradinas with Frank Naughton. Created while Paradinas was still in his late teens, the album remains a distinctive and influential work of early British electronic music.
Drawing upon Detroit techno, UK hardcore, early Aphex Twin and rave, Tango N’ Vectif combines crunchy drum programming, playful experimentation and an instinctive gift for melody. Its spirited, lo-fi sound was assembled using drum machines, synthesisers, a four-track recorder and an Atari 1040ST running Cubeat software.
This 2LP edition restores the original 1993 Rephlex vinyl album, newly remastered from the original DAT tapes by Beau Thomas. It also reproduces the original artwork and photography by Richard D. James.
