Description
Released in 1993, Elegant Slumming was the breakthrough second album from M People and an era-defining fusion of house, soul and sophisticated dance-pop. Driven by Mike Pickering’s production and Heather Small’s unmistakable vocals, the album became a major success throughout the UK, Europe and Australia.
Featuring the hit singles “Moving On Up,” “One Night In Heaven,” “Renaissance” and “Don’t Look Any Further,” Elegant Slumming earned M People the prestigious Mercury Music Prize and established the group as one of the defining British dance acts of the 1990s.
Released for National Album Day 2026, this special 140g Transparent Clear Vinyl 2LP edition pairs the original album with three extended remixes.
