Celebrating a decade since its original release, The Double Sunrise finally arrives on vinyl for the first time in this stunning Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition from Australian multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Lance Ferguson.

Best known for his work with The Bamboos, Menagerie and Rare Groove Spectrum, Ferguson created The Double Sunrise as a modern reimagining of classic Exotica music, filtering the lush tropical soundscapes of the genre through his own eclectic musical vision. The result is a record that blends the cinematic elegance of Martin Denny with elements of pop, hip-hop, downtempo and electronic music, drawing equally from artists such as Air and DJ Shadow.

Originally released only on CD and digital formats through Ferguson's own Pacific Theatre label, the album combines vintage samplers, synthesizers, drum machines and rich instrumentation to create a warm and immersive listening experience that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.

Guest appearances from Melanie Pain of Nouvelle Vague and acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Meg Washington add further depth and character to the album. Pain brings echoes of Françoise Hardy and Jane Birkin to her performances, while Washington returns following her memorable collaborations with Lanu on earlier releases including Her 12 Faces.

Beyond its musical inspirations, The Double Sunrise also serves as a deeply personal tribute to Ferguson's grandfather, Bill Wolfgramm, the pioneering Tongan musician who introduced Hawaiian lap steel guitar to New Zealand and recorded the country's first-ever long-playing record.

Praised by critics upon release, the album was described by Rolling Stone as "tight, snappy and doused in retro airs", while The Daily Telegraph called it "one of those summer albums you will return to every year."

This Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition is pressed on beautiful Sunset Swirl vinyl, with every copy featuring a unique colour pattern and housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.
