Prism is the hugely successful fourth studio album from Katy Perry, an expansive pop record that balances massive, uplifting anthems with more reflective and personal songwriting.
Originally released in 2013, Prism followed the phenomenal success of Teenage Dream and saw Perry broaden her sound while working with producers and songwriters including Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Cirkut, Stargate, Benny Blanco and Greg Kurstin.
The album opens with the global smash Roar, an empowering pop anthem that became one of Perry's signature songs. Other highlights include Unconditionally, Birthday, This Is How We Do and the chart-topping Dark Horse, featuring Juicy J, which combines sleek electronic production with hip-hop influences.
Elsewhere, Prism explores dance-pop and house on Walking On Air, while songs including Ghost, Love Me, Double Rainbow and By The Grace Of God reveal a more introspective side to Perry's songwriting. This Moment also features additional guitar from John Mayer.
Released to celebrate the album's 10th anniversary, this 2023 reissue presents Prism across Vinyl 2LP, giving one of Katy Perry's defining pop albums a new anniversary edition a decade after its original release.
