Description
Karnivool’s Themata brings together heavy riffs, intricate rhythms and soaring melodies, presented here as a 180g double vinyl repress.
The Australian progressive rock band’s debut album balances muscular grooves with atmospheric passages, with Ian Kenny’s expressive vocals connecting its heavier moments and quieter reflections. “Cote”, the title track and “Roquefort” showcase the distinctive blend of power and melody at the heart of Karnivool’s sound.
From the driving “Shutterspeed” to the restrained “Sewn And Silent”, Themata reveals a band with a clear identity and room to explore. Across 12 tracks, it lays the foundations for the expansive musical journeys that would follow.
