Love & Tears is the first full-length album from GENER8ION, the multidisciplinary project created by French producer and DJ Surkin. Bringing together music, film, fashion and visual art, GENER8ION expands Surkin’s high-energy club production into a cinematic world developed alongside filmmaker Romain Gavras.
Across 11 tracks, Love & Tears moves between forceful electronic rhythms, widescreen synths and emotionally charged pop. The album features collaborations with 070 Shake, Yung Lean, Yannis Philippakis of Foals and French artist Adèle Castillon, including the explosive “STORM II,” the title track “Love & Tears” and “Neo Surf.”
Surkin has long worked at the intersection of contemporary music and visual culture. Alongside his releases through Bromance Records and work as founder of visual magazine Unite or Perish, his music has appeared in campaigns and fashion presentations for brands including Kenzo, Nike, Dior, Paco Rabanne and Louis Vuitton.
This vinyl edition is presented in a die-cut jacket with a printed inner sleeve.
