Eels’ Beautiful Freak celebrates its 30th anniversary with an expanded edition of the album that began their distinctive musical journey. Blending alternative rock, lo-fi textures and melancholic pop, its twelve original tracks include “Novocaine For The Soul,” “Susan’s House” and “My Beloved Monster.”
Balancing offbeat humour with vulnerability, Beautiful Freak introduced a sound full of unusual details, memorable melodies and emotional depth. From its striking opening singles to the tender “Manchild,” the album remains an essential introduction to Eels.
This deluxe double-LP edition adds non-album tracks appearing on vinyl for the first time, alongside remixes and a live recording. Pressed on clear vinyl with black and blue splatter.
