Originally released in 1985, Songs To Learn & Sing is the definitive early-years collection from Echo & The Bunnymen, bringing together the standout singles that established the band as one of the most important voices in post-punk and new wave.
By the time of its release, Echo & The Bunnymen had already delivered four acclaimed albums — Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain — and developed a sound defined by atmospheric guitars, dramatic arrangements and Ian McCulloch’s unmistakable vocals.
The compilation traces the band’s evolution from the urgent early single Rescue through to enduring classics including The Cutter, The Back Of Love, Seven Seas and the iconic The Killing Moon. It also features Bring On The Dancing Horses, released alongside the original compilation and now regarded as one of the band’s signature songs.
This new 2026 edition has been released to coincide with Echo & The Bunnymen’s major world tour and is pressed on striking 140g Black & Yellow Marbled Vinyl. Following the immediate sell-out of the album’s previous coloured vinyl edition in 2022, this release offers collectors another opportunity to own one of the essential compilations of the post-punk era.
