Cymande Second Time Round

Cymande’s Second Time Round returns on black vinyl with this 2026 repress from Partisan Records. Blending soul, funk and Caribbean influences, the album showcases the supple rhythms, melodic basslines and rich ensemble playing that make the band’s sound so distinctive.

Featuring “Genevieve”, “Fug” and “Crawshay”, the collection moves between deep grooves, expressive vocals and spacious instrumental passages. From the opening “Anthracite” to “Them And Us”, the songs reveal a band whose musicianship is as compelling as their instinct for rhythm.

Widely sampled across hip-hop and electronic music, Cymande’s recordings continue to reach new generations of listeners. Second Time Round offers a rewarding opportunity to hear those grooves in their original setting.
