CLPPNG is the second album from experimental hip hop trio clipping., delivering a bold and confrontational blend of industrial noise, avant-garde production and razor-sharp lyricism.
Fronted by Daveed Diggs, the album pairs intense, cinematic storytelling with harsh electronic textures and unconventional song structures, pushing the boundaries of hip hop into deeply experimental territory. This vinyl 2LP ‘Special Cut’ edition offers a unique version of the album tailored specifically for the format. It excludes the tracks “Intro” and “Ends” found on digital/CD versions, while featuring a slightly extended version of “Body and Blood.” The release also includes distinctive vinyl-only elements, such as 100 locked groove audio samples on Side D, creating an interactive and endlessly looping listening experience.
Additionally, the vinyl version presents alternate mixes, including a different version of “Williams Mix,” and features a hidden locked groove track (later titled “Runout”), further emphasising the experimental nature of the release.
