Description
Originally released in 2017, Pop 2 is the fourth mixtape from Charli XCX and a landmark release in the development of hyperpop. Created with executive producer A. G. Cook, the project pushes pop music into bold new territory through futuristic electronic production, heavily processed vocals and unconventional song structures.
The mixtape features an extensive cast of collaborators, including Carly Rae Jepsen, Tove Lo, ALMA, Caroline Polachek, Kim Petras, MØ, Dorian Electra and Pabllo Vittar. Highlights include “Backseat,” “Out Of My Head,” “Tears,” the viral favourite “Unlock It” and the influential closing track “Track 10.”
This reissue is pressed on 140g black vinyl.
