Car Seat Headrest Twin Fantasy

Twin Fantasy is the ambitious and deeply personal album from Car Seat Headrest, a fully re-recorded and reimagined version of the cult record Will Toledo originally created in 2011.

The original Twin Fantasy was recorded by Toledo at just 19 years old using a cheap laptop and released independently through Bandcamp. Its sprawling songs documented young love, desire, anxiety and heartbreak with an intimacy that helped build Car Seat Headrest's devoted early following. Toledo, however, always considered the original recording unfinished — its ambitions extending beyond what his equipment and circumstances could achieve at the time.

Following Car Seat Headrest's breakthrough with Teens Of Denial, Toledo returned to Twin Fantasy, rebuilding the album with a full band and the resources to realise its original scope. The result retains the emotional intensity of the 2011 recording while expanding it into a richer, more powerful work filled with huge guitars, shifting dynamics and intricately constructed arrangements.

Featuring Beach Life-In-Death, Bodys, Sober To Death, Cute Thing and the epic Famous Prophets (Stars), Twin Fantasy moves between intimate confession and expansive indie rock, creating a remarkably vivid portrait of a relationship and the memories left behind.

This Vinyl 2LP edition is housed in a gatefold sleeve and presents Car Seat Headrest's acclaimed reimagining of one of the band's defining works.
