Originally released by Skam Records in 1996, Hi Scores was the first widely available release from Scottish electronic duo Boards of Canada and an important early chapter in their catalogue.

Across six tracks, the release established the duo’s distinctive sound through hazy analogue textures, understated rhythms and melodies that feel simultaneously nostalgic and otherworldly. It includes the enduring favourites “Turquoise Hexagon Sun” and “Everything You Do Is A Balloon,” both of which anticipate the atmospheric approach they would explore on later recordings.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, this Warp Records reissue returns Hi Scores to vinyl for the first time since 2014. The album is pressed on black vinyl and housed in a newly designed gatefold 12-inch sleeve with four 12-inch × 12-inch poster prints.
