Originally released in 1986, Seventh Star marked a bold new chapter in the Black Sabbath story. Featuring founding guitarist Tony Iommi alongside former Deep Purple and Trapeze vocalist Glenn Hughes, the album blended the band's trademark heavy metal sound with bluesy hard rock, melodic hooks and soaring vocal performances.
Originally conceived as a Tony Iommi solo project before being released under the Black Sabbath name, Seventh Star stands apart within the band's catalogue while remaining an essential entry in their history. Backed by Geoff Nicholls, Eric Singer and Dave Spitz, the album features standout tracks including No Stranger To Love, In For The Kill, Heart Like A Wheel and the epic title track, showcasing both Iommi's unmistakable guitar work and Hughes' powerful vocal range.
This definitive 2026 remaster has been mastered from the original recordings and also includes the No Stranger To Love (Single Remix) as a bonus track, delivering the album with renewed clarity while preserving the character of the original release.
