Description
Originally released in 1976, Turnstiles is the fourth studio album from Billy Joel and a pivotal release in his catalogue. Written following his return to New York after several years in Los Angeles, the album captures his renewed connection with the city and the people who shaped his songwriting.
Featuring the enduring classic “New York State Of Mind,” alongside “Say Goodbye To Hollywood,” “Summer, Highland Falls,” “Prelude / Angry Young Man” and “Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out On Broadway),” Turnstiles balances reflective piano ballads with ambitious, full-band arrangements.
Released for National Album Day 2026, this special edition is pressed on 140g Subway Token Gold vinyl.
