For more than three decades, Orton has carved out a unique space between folk, electronic music and singer-songwriter traditions, earning critical acclaim for her deeply personal songwriting and unmistakable voice. The album features the singles "The Ground Above" and "Waiting", and is brought to life by an exceptional group of collaborators including multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily, Vernon Spring's Sam Beste, drummers Chris Vatalaro and Vishal Nayak, trumpeter Christos Stylianides and bassist Tom Herbert. Together they create rich, organic arrangements that perfectly complement Orton's evocative songwriting.
