Beasts Of Bourbon The Axeman's Jazz

Beasts Of Bourbon’s The Axeman’s Jazz delivers a raw collision of blues, punk and outlaw rock, presented here on limited edition orange vinyl.

Originally released in 1984 on Green Records, the album was recorded live in a single day, capturing the band’s instinctive chemistry with little polish and plenty of menace. Distorted guitars, crawling rhythms and a shadowy barroom atmosphere give these nine tracks a loose, unpredictable energy.

From “Evil Ruby” and “Graveyard Train” to the unsettling “Psycho”, The Axeman’s Jazz finds its power in rough edges and hypnotic performances. Dark, ragged and uncompromising, it’s a striking introduction to one of Australian underground rock’s most distinctive bands.
