Originally released in 2002, Audioslave is the powerful debut album from the supergroup Audioslave, bringing together the explosive vocal talent of Chris Cornell with the instrumental force of former Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk.
Blending Cornell’s soaring, soulful vocals with the band’s heavy riffs and inventive guitar work, the album forged a distinctive sound that combined elements of hard rock, alternative rock and metal. Produced by Rick Rubin, the record delivers a powerful and cohesive set of songs that showcase the chemistry between the musicians.
The album spawned several major rock hits including “Cochise,” “Like a Stone,” and “Show Me How to Live,” tracks that helped propel the band to worldwide success and established Audioslave as one of the defining rock acts of the early 2000s.
Presented here as a vinyl 2LP reissue, Audioslave remains a landmark rock album of its era, capturing the raw energy and songwriting strength of a group that united some of the most influential figures in modern rock.
