Atoms For Peace Amok

Amok is the debut studio album from Atoms For Peace, the supergroup bringing together Thom Yorke, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco.

Originally released in 2013 through XL Recordings, Amok grew from collaborative jam sessions that Yorke and Godrich subsequently shaped and manipulated into a dense, meticulously constructed nine-track album. The result builds upon the electronic experimentation of Yorke's The Eraser while introducing the distinctly human pulse of a live rhythm section.

Flea's fluid bass lines weave through layers of shifting percussion from Waronker and Refosco, while Godrich's production blurs the boundary between live instrumentation and electronic processing. Above it all, Yorke's distinctive vocals drift through hypnotic rhythms, fragmented electronics and constantly evolving textures.

Featuring Default, Ingenue, Before Your Very Eyes... and Judge Jury And Executioner, Amok occupies a compelling space between electronic music, alternative rock and experimental rhythm-driven production. The album's striking artwork was created by longtime Yorke and Radiohead collaborator Stanley Donwood.

This premium vinyl edition presents Amok across two 45RPM Vinyl LPs and also includes the album on CD.
