Amyl and The Sniffers capture a very different side of their ferocious live sound on Truth or Consequence, a live album accompanying the concert film of the same name.
Recorded in front of an intimate and increasingly rowdy audience at El Coyote in Los Angeles on 28 April 2025, the performance sees the Australian punk rockers reworking their songs with a distinctly country-influenced sound. The set also features two previously unreleased tracks and the band’s take on Slim Dusty’s Australian classic “Lights On The Hill.”
The performance was recorded and filmed by longtime Amyl and The Sniffers collaborator John Angus Stewart, capturing the loose, communal atmosphere of a night shared between the band, friends and fans.
Raw, spontaneous and full of character, Truth or Consequence offers a unique companion to the band’s studio catalogue and a fresh perspective on songs familiar to longtime fans.
