Originally released in 2002 through ESL Music, The Richest Man In Babylon is the acclaimed third studio album from Washington, D.C. electronic duo Thievery Corporation.
Blending electronic production with live instrumentation, the album draws together dub, downtempo, jazz, reggae, dance, hip-hop and Indian musical influences. Its atmospheric sound is paired with socially conscious themes and contributions from vocalists including Emilíana Torrini, LouLou Ghelichkhani, Pam Bricker and Notch.
