Regurgitator Unit

Originally released in 1997, Unit is Regurgitator’s landmark second album and a defining release in Australian alternative music.

Breaking sharply from the heavier sound of their debut, the Brisbane band embraced bright synthesisers, electronic textures and infectious pop melodies while retaining their punk attitude, dark humour and experimental edge. The result moves effortlessly between sugary pop, distorted rock and unhinged noise, with darker lyrical ideas often hiding beneath its most accessible moments.

Featuring “Polyester Girl,” “Black Bugs,” “Everyday Formula,” “I Like Your Old Stuff Better Than Your New Stuff” and “! (The Song Formerly Known As),” Unit remains an inventive, eccentric and unmistakably Australian classic.

This 2024 reissue is pressed using recycled vinyl, with the colour determined by the material available at the time of manufacture. As a result, individual records vary and may be a solid colour, a mixture of colours or black.
