Nas Illmatic

Originally released in 1994, Illmatic is the landmark debut album from Queensbridge rapper Nas and one of the most influential records in hip-hop history.

Across ten tightly constructed tracks, Nas combines vivid street-level storytelling, intricate rhyme schemes and striking imagery to portray life in New York City. His writing is matched by a remarkable production team comprising DJ Premier, Large Professor, Pete Rock, Q-Tip and L.E.S., whose jazz-infused samples, hard drums and atmospheric loops helped define the sound of East Coast hip-hop during the 1990s.

Featuring “N.Y. State Of Mind,” “The World Is Yours,” “Life’s A Bitch,” “One Love” and “It Ain’t Hard To Tell,” Illmatic remains a concise and enduring masterpiece whose influence continues to reach successive generations of artists.

This Clear Classics Vinyl Edition presents the album on clear vinyl.
