Michael Jackson HIStory: Continues

HIStory: Continues presents the second, newly recorded half of Michael Jackson’s landmark 1995 album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, bringing together some of the most personal, confrontational and ambitious material of his career.
Originally released as part of the double album HIStory, these recordings found Jackson addressing fame, media scrutiny, injustice, isolation and personal relationships with an intensity that contrasted sharply with the greatest-hits collection that accompanied them. The album moves from the industrial-edged opening collaboration Scream, featuring Janet Jackson, through the defiant They Don’t Care About Us and atmospheric Stranger In Moscow to the sweeping Earth Song.
Other highlights include the ballad You Are Not Alone, Jackson’s interpretation of The Beatles’ Come Together, Childhood (Theme From “Free Willy 2”), Tabloid Junkie, HIStory and the closing interpretation of Charlie Chaplin’s Smile.
Produced with collaborators including Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, David Foster, Dallas Austin, Bill Bottrell and longtime engineer Bruce Swedien, HIStory: Continues captures Jackson combining pop, R&B, rock, orchestral arrangements and harder-edged contemporary production on one of his most revealing bodies of work.
This collectible reissue presents HIStory: Continues on Picture Disc Vinyl 2LP.
