Originally released in 1982, Primitive Man is the second studio album by Australian new wave icons Icehouse and one of the defining releases of the band’s career.
Written and produced by Iva Davies, the album blends atmospheric synth-pop, new wave and art-rock across enduring favourites including “Great Southern Land,” “Hey Little Girl,” “Street Café” and “Trojan Blue.” Its distinctive electronic production and evocative songwriting helped establish Icehouse internationally while delivering some of the most recognisable Australian songs of the era.
